Yolanda is no stranger to Lomond Acoustica.. on this occasion she shares the stage with David Wayman on guitar (David is a singer/songwriter and co-founder of Yasmine and The Tea Leaves.
Dave has collaborated with some of Melbourne’s finest songwriters) and John O’Hagan (Circus Oz) on bass. Yolanda weaves her way effortlessly bringing her original songs to the audience with smoky vocals and impassioned heart taking you on a journey that dips into soul, blues and jazz with inherent sophistication and draws to mind the greats of eras passed.
Don Hillman
Singer/songwriter Don Hillman writes songs about travelling and living in Australia ... surfing and spending time on the coast ... the wilderness bush ... the wonderful outback ...From early days busking and playing on the Melbourne folk circuit, Don found his passion for songwriting and formed his first band.
Don cites Bob Dylan and Van Morrison as major early influences, and also Richard Clapton.
Reviews have drawn favourable comparisons with Australian artists, Colin Hay and Paul Kelly.
