Melbourne based, 7-faced, acid-laced, psychedelic-soul machine Steppers are a testament to musicianship. Led by the soulful vocals and beats of the esteemed Reginald AK, Steppers boasts deluxe guitar, sultry Rhodes, luscious 3-piece horns, and complex yet tasteful bass grooves.Off the back of 40+ gigs both in and out of their hometown in 2024 (The Bamboos support at The Corner Hotel, Wonder Mountain Festival in Beechworth, East Coast and Tasmania Tours), the misfit crew of melomaniacs push their way through another Melbourne winter with sheer heat and laser focus.Having continued to immerse themselves in the sheer potential and breadth of the Melbourne scene and beyond (Punters Club, Bar Oussou, Tanswells Hotel Beechworth), Steppers continue to push towards the warmth of 2025 with a month-long residency at The Lomond Hotel.
Every Friday in August from 9pm will not only serve as a way to share the stage with some of Melbourne’s finest upcoming acts, but as a means to prepare for an upcoming Wonder Mountain festival set in September, single release in October and subsequent 2026 debut album.
Sonic Fuze – 1st August
Sonic Fuze is here to ignite the stage with jazz, funk, and fusion all wrapped into one electrifying sound. Brothers Lyndon and Lachie Riggs on Sax and Drums (often mistaken for twins!) formed the project during the 2020/21 lockdown through mutual connections and their love of jazz and improvisation.
Influenced by a blend of 70/80s jazz-funk-fusion (Herbie Hancock, Brecker Brothers, Casiopea) and modern groove/neosoul hits (Snarky Puppy, Hiatus Kaiyote, Robert Glasper), they’re all about catchy melodies and infectious grooves
Daffaduck – 8th August
Daffaduck is a Melbourne based producer, DJ and saxophonist. Born and raised in the Melbourne music scene, Daffaduck performs with many Melbourne based groups such as Teymori, The Tapeheads, Now Here This and The Shaky Knees band. Daffaduck has shared the stage with esteemed artists such as: Brian Jackson, Amin Payne, Horatio Luna, Erica Tucceri and Winston Surfshirt.

Soulutations - 22nd August
Inspired by the colours of jazz, rnb, soul and funk, Soulutations is a Naarm based collective, deeply rooted in love and community. Offering the space to feel deeply, feel connected, explore and express, Soulutations entangles vulnerability and honesty with playful melodies and deep rhythms, to move you, and groove you, as far as your heart is willing.

Naarm’s rising funk and soul outfit are bringing electrifying grooves and gorgeous harmonies to the stage with the promise of curing all your blues and spreading the love of feel good music. Be prepared to have their hooks stuck in your ears for days and keep your eyes peeled for their debut single release this year!
