Kelly has always enjoyed Duo performances, and has recently joined with her guitarist, Brian Fraser. Brian is one of Australia’s finest & most well-recognized acoustic blues performers & a multi-award-winning artist with over 30 years’ experience in the music industry. Whether it be amazing his audiences with his guitar talents or his humorous storytelling, he is always extremely entertaining.

The Duo performs reworked versions of Kelly’s previous songs, some brand-new originals & favourite covers.

The result is breathtaking!

Ben Rogers' Instrumental Asylum

Ben (guitar), Nikki Scarlett (bass), Denis Close (drums & percussion).

Formed back in 2005 to play reverb-drenched instrumentals influenced by the 60s surf guitar genre. Twenty years and five albums later their diverse influences have resulted in a broad epertoire with original material sitting alongside surf, rock, and blues classics like Ginchy and Hideaway and jazz standards like John Coltrane’s Mr P.C. and Billy Strayhorn’s Take the A Train.

Their five album releases have received strong reviews in Australia, the UK and the USA, and one of their recordings – Django Reinhardt’s Nuages – was listed as a recommended version in the best-selling reference book The Jazz Standards - A Guide to the Repertoire, by award winning US author Ted Gioia (Oxford University Press).

“If you like vintage instro-guitar, do yourself a favor and check these boss Prown Aussies out. Rogers’ Instrumental Asylum is the real deal.”

-Pete, Vintage Guitar (USA).

“There are no vocals on this album. They would be superfluous on material interpreted by Ben Rogers, a guitar player whose genre bending technique, taste and eclecticism place him among the world’s great guitarists.”

Billy Pinnell, Rhythms Magazine (Aust).
