Kira J & Yoly Ingley II
Yolanda began as jazz/blues singer 2+ decades ago but her emergence as a major singer/songwriter really began in 2016 with the release of her first album This Dangerous Age, combining insightful, intelligent lyrics with flavours of jazz, blues, r&b and folk in rich, sultry tones reminiscent of soul singers of the past .” Since then she has released 2 more albums "Woman got to Cry" (produced and featuring Sam Teskey) and Blue Time" once again featuring a stellar cast of Melbourne musicians.. Yolanda has been a regular performer at The Lomond Hotel and this time brings a compilation of her originals songs accompanied by awesome Monty Price on guitar (Pearly Shells and Ellie Mac) and the fabulous Johnny O'Hagan on double bass. Yolanda performs at Lowie Live 5pm on Saturday 18th July as a double bill with Kira J.
Kira Janowsky Winner of the 2018 Maldon Minstrel Award and shortlisted in 5 categories of the Australian Songwriters Association 2024/25 is bringing her own brand of Folk Fusion and Fun to the Lomond Hotel. Kira draws on an eclectic offering of indie folk, blues, country and Eastern European influences. Teaming up with Dean Lombard on lead guitar and some other very talented musicians expect a rich tapestry of storytelling that involve beautiful 3-part harmonies and haunting songs of love and loss with a light sprinkling of food and wine songs.
