The 18th May will be a genuine celebration with some of our most loved artists hosted by John McAuslan & Ian Bland.

The Band Who Knew Too Much

The Band Who Knew Too Much are a bona-fide fool-proof floor-packing band. For over a decade they have branded their sound around the world; a highly energetic act that is at home singing on the festival stage, busking unplugged on the city streets, or anything in between! Washboard/Accordion driven anthems about spending the rent, hard rubbish nights and of course, the immortal BEER O’CLOCK!!

Barb Waters

Barb Waters has been a feature of the music landscape for several decades through her work with Chris Wilson’s Crown of Thorns and fronting the Rough Diamonds and the Mothers of Pearl. Barb’s roots-tinged albums Til the Morning Comes, Buffalo Mountain Girl, and Rosa Duet (recently re-released on vinyl through Cheersquad) have garnered excellent radio airplay and reviews. With a music project always on the go, Barb has collaborated with other Melbourne-based artists, including Kerri Simpson, Alison Ferrier, and Suzannah Espie on the Bluebirds album, curated ‘And Introducing…’ for emerging artists and The Writers Method on 3RRR. Barb recently supported Ross Wilson as a solo performer and will appear at the Lomond for its 40 th Anniversary with her current band line-up of Chris Tabone, Stu Thomas, Craig Pilkington, and Ed Bates.

Suzannah Espie

With a career spanning over 30 years Suzannah is a stalwart of the Melbourne Anericana scene. As a member of Git, The Junes, The Cartridge Family and as a solo artist Suzannah has released over 25 albums to much acclaim, including a Music Vic award nomination, Port Fairy Artist of the Year, Blues Performer of the Year and patron of the Mullum Music Festival. She’ll be joined by her band including very special guest Jeff Lang on guitar.

Dan & Dave

Back in the 90s, Dave Evans and Dan Warner were well-known singers of their respective Melbourne bands, ‘The Band Who Knew Too Much’ and ‘The Warner Brothers’. In the early 2000s, Dave and Dan started playing together as part of ‘The Larrikins’, the ensemble put together by Jen Anderson to perform her score to the 1918 silent film, ‘The Sentimental Bloke’. Wherever they were in the world, Dave and Dan started playing busking sets off the back of performances of ‘The Bloke’. Upon returning to Melbourne, on many early mornings, the duo could be found on their ‘spot’ outside Parliament Station, amassing their impressive

repertoire of singalong classics.

Ian Bland

A storyteller in the tradition of the early Australian bush poets, Ian Bland blends humour and pathos to fashion insightful stories drawn from contemporary rural and urban Australia and beyond. He has gained a loyal following over the last 18 years for ‘Bland on Bland’ writing and presenting a poem weekly on Melbourne radio’s 3RRR, and has spruiked his verse in concert halls, ballrooms, The National Gallery, coal vaults, festivals, pubs, cemeteries, even the steps of Parliament.
